The First Christmas Card

The first commercial Christmas card was commissioned by Sir Henry Cole in 1843, by chance the same year in which 'A Christmas Carol,' was published by Charles Dickens. Due to its popularity, the card quickly exceeded the initial print run of 1000. This wonderful little card reproduces the image from that first Christmas card.
